Some of the config settings could use an explanation but there is no help manual that explains any of the config settings in 'device settings'. If there was more instruction on how to use it, I would likely rate it higher but 3 would be the max at this time due to limited features.

Does not connect to Wi-Fi

It only works locally through direct connection to the device Wi-Fi. Cannot connect to the home Wi-Fi, to the router. No support, no customer service, no website etc.

Confused

I purchased this through a H&S Catolog I’m able to get the music blue tooth to work But can’t quit get the camera product to work I’ve read the reviews as to developer being jailed But noticed the problem could have been updated and fixed by November 2019 It is currently July 2020 Try as I may I have not found all the connections to make work I’ve been unable to get to locate the ability to put password in for router Been very time consuming and frustrating Can Anyone help?? Is it possible to get this item to work??? Thanks

Finally, an app that works

Of all of the different apps on the App Store for IP cams, this is the only one I have found that works with all of the difference cameras that I have bought on Thailand and China. There is nothing els I have found that even comes close. I do t k ow why this has bad ratings, I use it with a generic clock camera, a generic flexible camera, and a camera in the Epic Hat by epic babble (their app does not exist on the USA App Store). I would pay for this app if the developer went in that direction. It’s a good app and has all of the same functionality of the android versions I have tried, but as I said, this works on my iPhone. If I could give six stars I would.

Hasn’t worked in MONTHS! Worst product ever.

Not working for remote access since July 2019

Since July 2019, this app is not capable of establishing connection with my hidden Spytec camera. Support reported issues with the app and that problems would be solved with a new version of the app that as of December 5, 2019 was still under development. Remote access is at the heart of a hidden cam. Without it, its purpose is beaten. Spytec, get you act together, please.

Scam

Does not work. Looks like The company still sold me 2 cameras totaling $300+ after they new of the server issue rendering the cameras useless. Said they would have an option available in November.... yet nothing. Would give zero stars if I could

P2P down but still a better APP

Shame that p2p has been nonfunctional for the developer’s non compliance with his local laws. However after using many P2P apps this one remains one of the most user friendly. Many of spysite.com hidden cameras use this APP, which by the way, has resumed remote view for many of its supported cameras. Try yours now! Yes there is nothing wrong with your camera, phone, or network. It’s the APP. Not for long though. More cameras are resuming function everyday and there are upgrade options for alternate APPs that will be released soon. If you just love the ease of p2p there are other options that don’t use this APP. Stay on top of what’s going on with Pro iCam at Spysite.com or stop at our NY or NJ showrooms for info and options.

How do it get myself added to the list.

I bought these cameras to Monitor my mom with Alzheimer’s. My level of frustration is beyond! No customer support, no phone or email response. One day they worked and then they didn’t.

Real reason of P2P failure

Most likely, there is nothing wrong with your camera, your network or the app. The real cause for the problem: remote p2p server that enables the remote viewing has failed, affecting 1mil+ cameras and many other apps made by Gang Zhang. He is in charge of the server and he is in jail now because of illegal domestic (China) distribution of spycam products which he was involved in. It seems like the problem will not be fixed because it's the Chinese government prohibiting such spy camera products who has shut down the server. We think the current P2P company is going to flop due to this incident. We are already producing a new version and will be available by early November 2019, it will be an upgraded version. If you bought the camera from us, we will apply a full credit towards the new model. This is a great loss for vendors like us as well. Doing business in this field for more than 20 years, this kind of stuff never happened. Can’t login remotely

I’m having the same issue others are complaining about. Can’t login remotely. Just spins perpetually. Used to work fine. Very unhappy about it. PLEASE FIX AND UPDATE!

Use to work great when away from the cameras using WiFi but after the update nothing cameras only work when you are on the WiFi that the cameras are using don’t waste your money this app needs fix before you buy the cameras I spent almost 6 hundred dollars on 3 cameras that don’t work unless ur at home which defeats the purpose of every having the cameras!!! Don’t buy !! App is not working!!!!

Used to work great!

This app used to work great, up till sometime in August. Like another reviewer had stated, when I’m away from home I can’t access the camera feed. All I get is a “logging in”, but it never does. I too have tried resetting, modifying it and even uninstalled/reinstalled it, but the camera still is not accessible while away from home. This defeats the purpose of even having the camera. It also quit recognizing the SIM card that is in it. But I don’t want to purchase another SIM card, if the camera is not going to be accessible while away from home. Please fix...

Problems after update

I have had this for over a year and it has worked great until a recent update where it will no longer login. It always says logging in but never leaves that. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no luck. This is clearly an issue in the most recent update and I’m hoping that the developer fixes this soon or I will be in search for a new product and app.

Can’t log on while away from home motion detector stop working as well it’s been for more than a month Tried to contact for technical support but nobody answered. Wish that issue would be fixed soon

No longer Works

Same issues as everyone else. I have cameras at 3 different locations with 3 different internet providers. All cams used to work, now nothing unless I’m connected to the same WiFi as the particular camera. Please fix and I’ll rerate

Not working

Same issue as others. Worked fine for over a year. Away from home the “device is offline” and cannot be used. Not very useful if I can’t use a home security camera while away from home.

Cam does not work remote via cellular on iPhone

Same problem as hypomeno , Aug 29th post. What good is a cam if you can see what’s going on remotely away from home/office. I have an iPhone X. Developer please please fix glitch. Thank you!

Device offline AGAIN!

I keep getting device offline or logging in and nothing happens. Worked a few days ago now nothing. Very frustrating! Called support and left a message. Did not call back. Disappointed since it worked so well in the beginning! Guess I’ll keep trying. Ho-hum!

P2P broken - rarely connects.

Worked “ok” for a while. Like all the other reviews are saying, can’t connect when away from the house anymore. Even in the house now it has problems connecting. P2P is broken and no longer works. Emailing customer service over and over with no answers. Is there a compatible app that can be used?

Horrible App and device

For the past month, all I get is device reboot and camera offline. The App won’t allow me to connect and when it does, it kicks me off seconds later. I can’t remote in any more either. I’ve called the customer support and left numerous messages about fixing it or returning it and NOTHING. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Does anyone know if they are working to fix the current problem with the server.. Have sent two emails with no response to either one... Is there an alternative app for these cams? Any help would be great... The cams have worked flawlessly up until last month... Kinda in the dark with no help

Not working...

I’ve had 2 cameras for over a year and they’ve worked fine. Out of no where it’s not working, won’t load live video or even connect so the device isn’t offline

No longer working

My cameras worked fine until a couple of months ago... now I can not view when away from home.. It keeps saying offline. I have reset both cameras and reconnected to internet numerous times.. It will work sporadically when I am at home but once I leave it keeps saying offline.. I just do not understand why they worked for such a long time and now they do not :(

As others have experienced *something* has gone wrong with a recent update. I’ve been using this for over a year And well kNow the ins and outs....so this is a NEW MAJOR problem.

Had this for over a year. Worked great up till a few days ago then can’t log on while away. Keep getting “request service” or “logging in...” but doesn’t. Sketchy at home with direct WiFi also. I reinstalled, reset, all the usual fixes...nothing helps. I noticed a couple updates recently under version history. Maybe something happened there? Anyway, I reached out to developer and hope to hear back. Any alternatives in the meantime? Would love to give this 5 stars again.

No live view away from home WiFi

This app has been pretty good and getting a live view away from home was no issue until a few weeks ago, (July 2019). The app even at home has been slow and choppy and lags. I’ve reset and re installed several times. I tried emailing the developer 3 days ago and have not heard anything back to why this is happening. I’m sure others are having issues but not taking the time to write in. Please let us know what is happening and fix the issue.

Kinda disappointed

This camera and app worked great, until the other day when I cannot log onto the app to view the camera, always worked, then all of a sudden nothing, just says request service.. been trying for days to get on with no luck.. I’m 1700 miles away from home, and have no idea if anyone is in the house.. not very happy.

Device offline!

I am constantly dealing with my devices going offline. Also I am unable to reconnect outside of my wifi. I’m not sure if it’s an app issue or wifi/cellular fault.

Works great

App works great. Push notifications are very handy. App is used for many different cameras and every one I’ve tried the quality is very good.

Very Poor Quality

The camera does not record when it states it is recording, even with the memory card. The camera falls offline many times. The playback of video is horrible, not able to fast forward or rewind. The .asf fies are not saved in the photo section of the Iphone so, they can not be moved over the pc. Customer service is either very slow to respond or does not respond at all

It's okay

The app itself is okay but the playback is mediocre there is no way to back or forward without the video restarting from the beginning so if your like me and your video file length is 15 minutes and you are 7 minutes in and want to go back you have to start all over again so yeah basically a pointless app that doesn't even have the same setting options as the Ip camera my advice return the camera from where you got it and spend it little more and get a decent brand

Very Low Performance

Camera feed constantly skips and freezes and will say offline when camera is still on.

Playback in saved videos on phone

The saved records on phone if you move the section it will stop playing. In order to watch video of footage you would have to wait and let it play out, instead of skipping over to times you need please fix asap.

Deleting files from SD card

Been a bit touchy with signal strength but overal decent app for free. Wish it had multi delete option for SD card instead of swiping one at a time.

No Dropbox support

This app would be more useful if Zhang Gang included a dropbox storage feature. FTP is just ok but Dropbox is better option if available.

There better options

The 'manual' you get is obviously written by someone who speaks English as a second language. Way too many grammar and spelling mistakes. It is also likely to have been written by an engineer rather than a skilled technical writer because so much data is missing. There are many options available on the software but not a word about how to use or configure settings. Some I have no idea how to configure; others simply don't work. If you feel like you are very proficient in technology then you will likely be able to get this device working after a lot of trial and error. It is frustrating because the instructions are so bad. However, once you get it to work the quality is pretty good. I've got to think that you would be better served to buy a product with better product support documentation Too late for me though. I guess I will just keep plodding through in hopes of being able to utilize the device to its fullest capacity.

User Manual Lacking

Clock camera works well, but the user manual takes hours to figure out the broken English. Lots of missing instructions… I still can’t figure out how to turn on the IR lights.

Update killed saved video recordings

They don't load or allow u to view them anymore. Don't understand how that optimizes app.
